Font Analysis

In class we analysed types of fonts used in different films. We were able to compare and contrast fonts.
We learned that their were two types of fonts
Serif- this type of font has 'flicks' at the end of each letter portraying a old fashioned product/ a serious matter
and
Sans Serif - this type of font is more modern and less serious.

ROCKY USES SAN SERIF FONT, IT CONVEYS A LESS FORMAL FILM WITHOUT EVEN WATCHING THE FILM. THE USE OF BOLD AND CAPITAL LETTERS HAVE A  'PUNCHING' EFFECT, WHICH GOES WELL WITH THE FILM AS IT IS ABOUT BOXING. THIS IS IN CONTRAST TO PEARL HARBOUR, WHICH IS A OLD FASHION, MORE FORMAL FILM. IT MAY COME ACROSS AS BUSY AND COMPLICATED WHICH IS WHY MY GROUP ARE USING SAN SERIF IN OUR TITLE SEQUENCE.
